14 tips and tricks about the magimix recipe
- Choose ripe fruits for a more flavorful and sweet compote.
- To prevent the fruits from browning during preparation, you can add a few drops of lemon juice on the apple slices before putting them in the magimix.
- If you prefer a smooth texture without pieces, use the "Progressive Speed" function of the magimix to blend the compote at the end of cooking.
- Add some spices like cinnamon or ginger powder to give a warmer flavor to your compote.
- If you prefer a less liquid consistency, remove the lid from the magimix bowl after blending the fruits and let it cook for a few more minutes until the excess water evaporates.
- To preserve more nutrients from the fruits, opt for gentle cooking by using a lower varoma temperature (around 85°C /185°F) for a little longer.
- You can add sliced almonds or crushed hazelnuts just before serving your compote to add a crunchy and tasty touch.
- If you want a sweeter compote, add sugar or agave syrup in addition to honey. Taste regularly to adjust the amount of sugar to your preferences.
- For an even more fragrant compote, you can infuse spices like vanilla or cloves in the liquid (water or juice) used during cooking.
- You can also add some orange or lemon zest to bring a citrusy note to your compote.
- If you like textures with some pieces, don't hesitate to slightly reduce the blending time and leave some small pieces for a more rustic sensation in the mouth.
- If you want some pieces in the compote, in the last step, set it for 15 seconds at speed 4 instead of 30 seconds at speed 8.
