12 tips and tricks about the thermomix recipe
- Choose ripe apricots for a more flavorful and sweet tart. Preferably opt for seasonal apricots. But you can also use apricots in syrup without any problems.
- For a perfect shortcrust pastry, use cold butter cut into small pieces and quickly mix it with flour and sugar in the Thermomix. Be careful not to overwork the dough to prevent it from becoming too elastic.
- Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before rolling it out. This will allow the butter to harden and make the dough easier to handle.
- For an even more indulgent tart, add a pinch of vanilla or grated lemon zest to the shortcrust pastry. This will bring a subtle flavor to your tart.
- Before rolling out the dough, lightly sprinkle your work surface with flour to prevent the dough from sticking.
- For a creamier filling, mix the fresh cream, eggs, and sugar in the Thermomix until smooth and homogeneous.
- Arrange the halved apricots on the dough, making sure to press them in slightly. This will allow the tart to bake evenly.
- For a touch of crunchiness, sprinkle some brown sugar on the apricots before baking. This will bring a delicious caramelization.
- If you want a more fragrant tart, add a pinch of cinnamon or cardamom to the filling before pouring it over the apricots.
- Monitor the tart's baking carefully to prevent it from burning. If necessary, cover it with aluminum foil during baking to protect the crust.
- This recipe serves as a base by replacing the apricots for raspberry tart, plum tart, peach tart, strawberry tart, apple tart using the pastry crust.
